Injustice 2 had a mind-blowing debut year, and it is not only a fantastic fighting game by itself, but, also courtesy the downloadable material which featured some incredible guest stars such as Hellboy, The Atom, Enchantress, and beginning next month, it will also have the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Fans are busy speculating what lies ahead. Are we going to see another set of characters for the game or will it be new content which adds a brand new arc to the gameplay? Nothing is ruled out, and it has led to NetherRealm Studios chief Ed Boon to enjoy teasing about it.
Boon was on Twitter recently and stated that someone had discovered the next DLC character meant for Injustice 2. No doubt, he was joking, especially once you find out who the character is.
Yes, it is a morphed image showing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles battle with…Scooby Doo. It is obvious that Boon is fooling around with us, but, he has not realized the impact of a crossover between DC Comics and Hanna Barbera. Imagine Batman crossing over with Captain Caveman; Harvey Birdman showing his mettle against Supergirl or maybe Fred Flintstone clubbing Gorilla Grodd during a contest. Just imagine what all it could have been..
Boon’s tweet has amused the Internet, and some funny responses have come forward as shared below:
We are delighted to see Boon enjoy while we try to figure out what the next step would be for Injustice 2. One thing we know for sure is that Captain Caveman would be a great match-up against Swamp Thing, now that we are letting our imagination run amok.
Injustice 2 is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
