Chris Tucker has recently confirmed that he and Jackie Chan will return for a Rush Hour 4.
Focusing on Tucker’s Detective James Carter and Chan’s Chief Inspector Lee as they meet from different sides of the world, 1998’s Rush Hour was a huge hit. It had earned $244.4 million at the worldwide box office. Fans have been waiting for a pretty long time for news on the same.
Chan has said that he will return to this series on The Cruz Show and Tucker was quiet. He had reiterated that he and Chan would practice their martial arts skills and make a trilogy into a quadrilogy:
“It’s happening. This is gonna be the rush of all rushes. Jackie is ready, and we want to do this so that people don’t ever forget it.”
Tucker is hyping up that Rush Hour 4 will be much bigger than the previous films. He does not tell the fans how long will it be before Carter and Lee head back on the streets for the installment.
Given that this had series bowed out with Rush Hour 3, do we need to go back to this?
Director, Brett Ratner, and writer, Jeff Nathanson had joked that a 4th movie would come out in 2012. With Ratner’s recent sexual assault allegations, it will be unlikely that he can return.
Ler us not forget that there was a Rush Hour TV series. It aired on CBS for one season in 2016 and it looked like the fans could not get behind a small screen version of Carter and Lee. It seems like Chan and Tucker are super interested in bringing the cops back out of retirement.
