A Solo Trailer Has Been Made And It Set To Beastie Boys’ Sabotage

The Solo trailer seems to have been recut to Sabotage by the Beastie Boys, and it is much more awesome. The Han Solo film will release in 3 months, and fans have just seen one Super Bowl spot and a teaser trailer. A fan has now repurposed what footage we have and made a better trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story.

The trailer comes courtesy of people from the War Starts at Midnight Podcast. They had decided that something was missing from the trailer. Well, they thought that this trailer looked a more like an origin story for James T. Kirk. They have recut a few footage in the Super Bowl spot and the teaser trailer:

“Because the first trailer felt an awful lot like ‘Solo: A James Tiberius Kirk Story'”

Sabotage does work here, but this is far from the first time we had seen something similar. Before the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, someone had compiled many footages from trailers and laid it over the Beastie Boys track from Ill Communication. This was inspired by usage of the track in the Star Trek Beyond trailer.

While the Rogue One trailer was super fun, the trailer really could have been something that Lucasfilm and Disney released. Yup, it is that good. This is enough to get skeptical fans who want nothing to do with a Han Solo film on board with this idea.

Solo: A Star Wars Story will release on May 25 and is directed by Ron Howard. We do not know how much belongs to Phil Lord and Chris Miller.
