The Super Bowl has outgrown football. It is not just a game, but, the most impactful advertising opportunity of the year, and that makes it ideal for studios to release some of their biggest trailers during the event. This year, there is a very strong chance that one of the trailers is going to be for The Incredibles 2.

Apart from the highly expected spots for Black Panther/Avengers: Infinity War, Deadline reported that Disney is going to reveal trailers for their upcoming family films such as A Wrinkle In Time and The Incredibles 2. Although Disney has not clearly made any announcement about releasing the sequel of the 2004 movie Incredibles releasing any trailer during the Super Bowl scheduled for February 2nd, history indicates towards it. During the Super Bowl in 2017, Disney had aired the trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.

Disney/Pixar had earlier unveiled the first look of the movie on ESPN’s College Gameday in November last year.

If the new trailer for The Incredibles 2 comes out, then it will give us another fresh look at the characters from the much-anticipated Brad Bird sequel. Not too long ago, Disney/Pixel had shared the first look images and character synopsis’ for the cast of the movie. The film’s cast includes almost all the original voice cast of The Incredibles, including Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Samuel L. Jackson, Sarah Vowell and also Bob Odenkirk. The new additions to the cast are Catherine Keener, Sophia Bush, Jonathan Banks, and Isabella Rossellini.

The Incredibles 2 will get going from the same point where the original movie had ended in 2004 and will showcase the Parr family who was compelled to come out from their superhero retirement to battle the villain Syndrome, straightaway getting into a face-off with a new enemy called the Underminer.

“It starts right as the first one finishes, so it just carries on,” Pixar’s chief creative officer had revealed at the 2017 D23. “A minute will have passed. It starts with the Underminer and a big old set piece. You know that at the end of the first movie when he comes up, and you see the family dressed as superheroes, well that’s where we start this movie.”

The Incredibles 2 is scheduled to release on 15th June.
