There is a new rumor casting some light on how Carnage falls into the scheme of things for the upcoming Venom movie from Sony featuring Tom Hardy in the lead role.
That Hashtag Show has claimed that Cletus Kasady aka Carnage, will have a small, part to play in the movie. The film which is based on the Lethal Protector miniseries revolves around Eddie Brock and the Life Foundation, probably involving various symbiotes. According to the report which quotes an unnamed source claiming that Carnage will appear towards the end of the movie, probably in a post-credits scene.
Kasady will find himself to be under the supervision of Dr. Ashley Kafka, who introduces him to Brock. Then on, just like the events witnessed in the comic books, an offshoot of the symbiote will approach Kasady, thus, opening the door for the iconic Marvel villain to be a part of a future sequel or some other Marvel movie by Sony.
Kasady debuted in Amazing Spider-Man #344. Cletus is a serial murderer who shares a prison cell with Brock during his sentence at Ryker’s Island. When Brock manages to run away, his symbiote leaves some part of itself back there which bonds with his prison cellmate. Then on, Kasady becomes mentally deranged and deadly.
Venom is directed by Ruben Fleischer on a script written by Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg. The film starring Tom Hardy, Jenny Slate, Michelle Williams and Riz Ahmed is scheduled to release in theaters on Oct. 5, 2018.
