Once Upon a Time‘s will end with the 7th season which is now airing on ABC.
The latest report from The Hollywood Reporter has shown that this how suffered a drop in its viewers when it had moved from Sundays to Fridays. They lost 37% of its audience. The season has averaged a 1.1 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic.
“When we first heard Adam and Eddy’s pitch for Once Upon a Time, we knew it was something incredibly special. For seven years, they have captivated us with their creativity and passion while reimagining some of our most beloved Disney fairytales, creating an undeniable global hit. Saying goodbye will be bittersweet, but Once Upon a Time will forever be part of the ABC legacy and we can’t wait for fans to join us in this epic final chapter,” Channing Dungey, ABC Entertainment president had said.
Once Upon a Time was set to come to an end after the 6th season after exits by Jennifer Morrison, Josh Dallas and Ginnifer Goodwin. The showrunners wanted to reboot the fairy tales and brought actors like Dania Ramirez, Gabrielle Anwar, Alison Fernandez and many more.
Created by Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, Once Upon a Time tells a story of the real world and classic fairy tales coming together.
The cast includes Jennifer Morrison (Emma Swan), Ginnifer Goodwin (Snow White), Lana Parilla (the Evil Queen), Josh Dallas (Prince Charming), Jared Gilmore (Henry Mills), Robert Carlyle (Rumpelstiltskin), Colin O’Donoghue (Captain Hook) and Emilie de Ravin (Belle).
