It seems like Conan the Barbarian may make its way to the small screen. Deadline has reported that a Conan TV reboot is currently under work at Amazon. This project is courtesy of Ryan Condal, Miguel Sapochnik Warren Littlefield.
Condal is now writing this series and its description is as follow:
“Conan retells the classic character’s story via a return to his literary origins. Driven out of his tribal homelands, Conan wanders the mysterious and treacherous world of civilization where he searches for purpose in a place that rejects him as a mindless savage.”
Conan has a varied storytelling history in live-action and in the comic books. This story was brought to life in 2 animated series; an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie and a Jason Momoa-led reboot.
Conan has a larger pantheon before having had the stories published by DC Comics and Dark Horse. Our barbarian has joined forces with Wonder Woman in a new set of miniseries.
There is no telling when the Conan series will enter the production stage and who may be cast in this role. But once this series premieres, it will mark Amazon’s second adventure into live-action fantasy.
