Check Out Joker And Poison Ivy In The New Extended Gotham Season 4 Trailer!

There is not even a month left for Gotham to come back with the second half of its Season 4, and Fox has unveiled a new preview recapping the first half of the current season for fans, and a quick glance at the episodes coming up. It is a five-minute clip which starts with Jerome (Cameron Monaghan) hinting at his turning into Joker. Fox hasn’t yet green-lighted Gotham, and even though it might come back, the recent slide in ratings might not augur well for the show.

It was reported back in October about how Gotham Season 4 had experienced the lowest series ratings, and that’s not encouraging for the return of the series. There is no clear news about whether the show will get a Season 5 or not, however, it might all depend on the second half of the ongoing season. In case the ratings start improving then Fox might renew it further. As of now, there is no clarity on by when will Fox take the call about renewing or wrapping up this series based in the DC Universe.

Gotham Season 4 showcases the rise of the crime world for which Gotham City is renowned, with Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue) leading the battle against deranged and evil villains. While the citizens of Gotham City crave for a normal life, a new hero emerges. Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) has completed his training with Temple Shaman (role guest-starring Raymond J. Berry), and Ra’s al Ghul (Alexander Siddig). Bruce decides to take care of the city’s well-being. With his trusted butler Alfred Pennyworth (Sean Pertwee)  at his side and supported by Lucius Fox (Chris Chalk), he would take on the role, alongside maintaining his public image of a reckless social bird so as to not raise any suspicion.

Ben McKenzie is playing Detective James Gordon in Gotham Season 4, and the rest of the cast includes Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock, David Mazouz as Bruce Wayne, Morena Baccarin as Leslie Thompkins, Sean Pertwee as Alfred, Robin Lord Taylor as The Penguin, Erin Richards as Barbara Kean, Camren Bicondova as Selina Kyle/the future Catwoman, Cory Michael Smith as Edward Nygma/the Riddler, Jessica Lucas as Tabitha Galavan, Chris Chalk as Lucius Fox, Drew Powell as Butch Gilzean/Solomon Grundy, Alexander Siddig as Ra’s Ah Ghul, and Crystal Reed as Sofia Falcone. The current season also witnesses some famous characters such as Scarecrow, and it has not been revealed so far as to which other characters will appear on the screen in this season or have been planned to feature in a potential Season 5.

Earlier in the season the revelation about Drew Powell’s character Butch Gilzean being Solomon Grundy was made, but, it is not yet clear as to what other surprises Gotham might spring upon its fans. Gotham is a show based on DC Comics characters and is produced by WB Television. The pilot was written by Executive producer Bruno Heller, and it was directed as well as executive produced by Emmy nominee Danny Cannon. Gotham’s executive producer and showrunner is John Stephens.
