A recent episode of The Flash had seen the rise of a new hero in Ralph Dibny and saw a new person show up.
In the last few moments of tonight’s episode, Ralph Dibny/Elongated Man (Hartley Sawyer) had stepped up as a hero and saved Cisco/Vibe (Carlos Valdes) and Caitlin/Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker) from Trickster, Jr. and Prank. Ralph and Cisco hit Jitters for some coffee. Ralph may be the hero Barry (Grant Gustin) believed he would be, but he is content to allow other people pick up the tab. When the check comes to their table, Ralph has no money and Cisco is not going to pay either, and then they squabble.
And while they fuss over this, a girl comes up to them, and keeps some money for the drinks. This girl is super familiar. It is the mystery girl from the West-Allen wedding. She pays for the coffee and then chats with them about it.
While this mystery girl’s (Jessica Parker Kennedy) reappearance connects to a mystery from the first half of this season, it is what happens next that triggers interest. While Ralph and Cisco leave with the coffee, the Mystery Girl sits at a table and writes in a notebook. And it is not English but the same symbols that Barry had been scrawling on every surface during the season premiere.
Some have speculated that she may be a descendant of Barry’s, daughter, Dawn or granddaughter, Jenni. A few also think that these symbols may be a form of Interlac and gives credence to the idea that whoever the girl is, she is from the future.
The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on The CW.
