Today we are exactly 100 days away from the release of Avengers: Infinity War and Marvel Studios kick-started the countdown with a promo that showed the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes charge into the battle.
The official Avengers Twitter account posted, “100 days. #Avengers #InfinityWar,” and the caption was accompanied by the video graphic featuring a scene from the movie’s initial trailer showing Steve Rogers lead the Winter Soldier, Black Widow, Okoye, Hulk, Black Panther and the Wakandan army into the battle against the invading forces of Thanos. It is a brief 12 seconds long clip, but, it features the musical theme of Avengers: Infinity War, and ends with the movie’s logo.
We don’t think that Marvel is going to showcase a daily teaser during the countdown starting from 100 today, but, it is quite expected that there will be posts marking the milestones such as 50 days to go, 25 days to go, right until the countdown gets to single digits. In fact, it won’t be wrong to expect one of the countdown days to reveal a brand new trailer to enthuse fans.
The directorial venture of Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Anthony Mackie as the Falcon, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, Tom Holland as Spider-Man, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, Chris Pratt as Star Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Vin Diesel as Groot, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, and Josh Brolin as Thanos.
Avengers: Infinity War is scheduled to release on May 4.
