By the looks of it, Marvel Studios has finally got going with Captain Marvel. There are several set photos that have now appeared on Twitter, and they feature two well-known Marvel Cinematic Universe characters.
This fantastic first-look has been revealed to us, thanks to Just Jared!
As seen in the photographs, the site managed to click images of the first major production day on the set of Captain Marvel. Just Jared snooped around on the Marvel’s shooting location in Atlanta to find out more about the upcoming MCU film. Captain Marvel is probably being shot at Pinewood Studio, and two of the movie’s actors were seen in action on the set.

The duo of Samuel L. Jackson and Colbie Smulders was photographed on the Captain Marvel set. You can see them being filmed on a street with a number of cars and extras in the background. Smulders plays Maria Hill in MCU, and she was photographed in a turtleneck and skinny jeans. As for Samuel aka Nick Fury, he is seen without his signature trench coat, but, the eyepatch is back. So at least that has come back.
It is difficult to find out from the set photos as to what is the time period of this image featuring Nick Fury and Maria Hill. During last year’s San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios had confirmed that Captain Marvel would be based in the 1990s and it will be one of the earliest stories of MCU, chronologically.
But, that doesn’t imply that the movie’s storyline can’t have a present-day sequence.
In one of the photos, we see Hill and Fury stare at the sky where a gigantic green screen is hovering. It is possible that they are looking at the much-awaited comeback of Captain Marvel on the scene. Or, it might just be the handiwork of a Skrull!
Until now, there has been no word from Marvel Studios about Captain Marvel’s filming, and a section of fans is waiting to be sure of whether the set photos really belong to Captain Marvel or not. While the movie’s production details did mention that it would be shot in Los Angeles, and the photographs were snapped in Atlanta. But then, Avengers 4 has wrapped up filming earlier in January, so there is no reason why Fury and Hill would still be clicked on set if they were not working on a new Marvel Studios project. Looking at their production schedule, the only film that would include these characters is Captain Marvel. Thus, it is quite strong an evidence about the highly anticipated Captain Marvel being ready to shoot. We are just waiting to get our first look at Brie Larson’s version of Carol Danvers!
