Thor’s eyepatch in MCU is a subject of debate among most fans. And now, Chris Hemsworth had explained everything and cleared all doubts that the fans have had.
After a battle with Hela in the movie, Thor: Ragnarok, the God of Thunder lost his eye, and he wears a new eyepatch.
The trailer footage had been shown at Disney’s D23 Expo and SDCC, but had not revealed the Asgardian’s accessory.
In an interview with CinemaBlend, the actor had said that it was uncomfortable for him to film with the eyepatch.
“It was… yeah, I remembered being… with the eyepatch, the story unrolling, ‘Yeah, cool, this is interesting,’” Hemsworth said.
“And then the day that we put the eyepatch on I was like, ‘This is ridiculous.’ The thing kept falling off, and we didn’t have the thing [gestures an eyepatch strap]. So it became a CG eyepatch, which I was stoked about… But I’m happy with that trade [for the wig]. It has its downsides. But the upside is that it’s an hour less in hair and makeup without the wig on,” he continued.
It seems like Thor may not be able to see with his right eye. His hair will be short as it had been cut off in Sakaar to by a sadistic barber.
