Venom star, Tom Hardy is back in action on an upcoming Marvel movie, and he shared an image with producer, Avi Arad.
The photo is as of now far from an official glimpse at this character, but Hardy appears to wear a military garb of some sort along with kneepads. This may be a confirmation that this movie might be inspired by the Agent Venom incarnation of this character.
While the look is more recent, Hardy had shared with Comic-Con Experience 2017 that its storyline would be inspired by 1993’s Venom: Lethal Protector.
Here, Spider-Man and Venom agree to a truce, and it results in Venom going to San Francisco, California. Then, the son of one of his victim’s tracks him and hopes to extract the secrets of the symbiote. And so, 5 new symbiotes are born-Scream, Riot, Phage, Agony and Lasher.
A few fans had anticipated that Carnage will a new symbiote, as Riz Ahmed has been rumored to play this character and serve as Venom’s foe.
This movie will be the very first in “Sony Marvel Universe,” which will happen in the same world as Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.
Columbia Pictures president, Stanford Panitch had teased that the movie will be inspired by John Carpenter and David Cronenberg’s works with “more pop and fun.” Carpenter’s The Thing features a symbiote replicating the researchers at a certain Antarctic base and Cronenberg explores horrors of science going a bit too far. And these influences are appropriate for Venom.
Jenny Slate and Michelle Williams will star with Hardy and Ahmed. There have been rumors that Woody Harrelson would also make an appearance.
Directed by Ruben Fleischer, this movie will release on October 5.
