The Dark Knight star, Christian Bale recently revealed that he is interested to join Star Wars universe, and the actor has confirmed that he is in talks to take up a role in Solo: A Star Wars Story.
“Yes, [it was] very tempting,” Bale told the Happy Sad Confused podcast. “I not only love the films going back to my childhood but also have a very long relationship with Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall because they did Empire of the Sun from many years back. There was a discussion, [and] I hope there will be future discussions.”
Bale mentioned that he is a huge fan of this series and said, “Star Wars interests me. I’ve still got the Millennium Falcon, I’ve got the AT-AT. My daughter, her first love was Darth Vader. She adored Darth Maul. [She] stood near him at Disneyland and he growled, and he’s got those teeth, and he stayed in character, really wonderful performance, and she was teeny, and I thought, ‘This is gonna scare the crap out of her, this is such a bad idea.’ And then she stopped, and she said, ‘Daddy, I’m in love.’”
Rumors said that he was supposed to take up the role of Han’s mentor, but this role went to Woody Harrelson.
Solo: A Star Wars Story will star Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover, Joonas Suotamo, Thandie Newton, Emilia Clarke, Michael K. Williams, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Woody Harrelson.
This movie will release in May 25.
