Star Wars: The Last Jedi is the final performance of Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia).
TMZ reports that her brother, Todd Fisher had spoken to them about seeing The Last Jedi and said that the scenes were “gut-wrenching” to watch.
It seems that TMZ is afraid of revealing any spoilers so it would not reveal which scenes made them upset.
There is a scene where KyloRen and his cronies attack the Resistance. While Kylo does not blow up Leia, his wingman shoots and blasts Leia to space. And she seemingly dies. Leia comes to life and uses the Force to pull herself back onto the ship. She looked dead for a moment, and that may have been would “gut-wrenching” for her family.
In another shot, she is draped in white cloth and laid on a bed. While she is alive in the context of this movie, the shot resembles a dead body.
While most of us did not know Carrie Fisher personally, her family did. And watching this movie can be an unnerving experience.
Knowing that we have seen the last of the Star Wars princess is a very sad realization.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi is now in theaters.
