Carrie Fisher’s Dog Recognized Her At The Screening Of ‘The Last Jedi’

Late Carrie Fisher’s dog, Gary had reportedly “perked up” when he saw his mom onscreen during Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Reporter, Veronica Miracle had shared a short video of this French bulldog after the screening of the 8th Episode of Star Wars at the TCL Chinese Theatre.

“The late Carrie Fisher’s dog Gary just watched The Last Jedi,” Miracle wrote. “He sat on Fisher’s former assistant’s lap during the film. She said his ears perked up every time she was on screen.”

Fisher had passed away last December when she was 60. Gary now belongs to Corby McCoin who was Fisher’s assistant. Gary made a cameo in The Last Jedi during the Canto Bight sequence.

The actress and screenwriter was known for her as general Leia Organa. She got a touching dedication in The Last Jedi’s main credits. Her brother, Todd Fisher had revealed that her family found a few scenes from this new Star Wars movie very hard to watch.

Starring John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Andy Serkis, Laura Dern, Mark Hamill, Beniciodel Toro, Carrie late Fisher and Star Wars: The Last Jedi is now in theatres.
